DUBAI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on Saturday inspected the progress of the Dh10 billion Dubai Parks and Resort project, which is in its final stages.

The resort, which is on Sheikh Zayed Road close to the Palm Jebel Ali, is the largest integrated theme park destination in the Middle East, spanning 25 million square feet of land.

The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai viewed the plans and designs of a park that will offer the Hollywood-inspired theme park Motiongate, Dubai Bollywood Parks and Legoland, in addition to a water park.

Chairman of Dubai Parks and Resorts, Abdulla Al Habbai, said the project is set to open in October and that 88 per cent of the construction work and 70 per cent of the utilities infrastructure is completed.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his satisfaction with the project, along with other hospitality projects in the area, which is close to the site of Expo 2020.
