Chief executive Saeed bin Redha said: "We have endeavoured to present a mixture of activities and events in addition to a number of new pavilions. This has contributed to the diversity of cultures, cuisines, retailed products and entertainment shows."

The 17th season of Global Village featured 37 pavilions and representatives from 65 countries.

Mr bin Redha added: "We are now working hard to plan for the next season."
