The Dubai developer Damac has signed a deal to bring the Paramount hotel brand to Abu Dhabi and other cities in the region.

With four projects already announced in Dubai, further developments incorporating the Hollywood movie studio Paramount Pictures theme have been agreed for Jeddah and Istanbul.

Damac is already working with Paramount Hotels and Resorts on Damac Towers - a four-tower hotel and serviced residence project in the Burj area of Dubai, Damac Villas in the Akoya project, the beachfront Paramount Hotel and Jumeirah Waterfront. The developer also has a serviced apartment project with Paramount in Riyadh.

During Cityscape Global last month Damac announced it is to build the Paramount Hotel Dubai, Downtown, a 1,250 hotel with luxury rooms and suites, on a plot located just off Sheikh Zayed Road which is set to open in 2018.

“From our initial announcement back in March of last year, the Paramount Hotels & Resorts-branded products in Dubai and Riyadh have proved to be immensely popular with our sophisticated client base,” said Damac managing director Ziad El Chaar. “We are pleased that in the coming years we will be able to expand this concept to many new markets.”
