AL AIN // Al Ain Zoo will launch its winter season with a themed month of interactive activities to celebrate Arabian wildlife and culture.

The zoo will allow visitors to explore the region’s rich history through traditional performances, culinary treats and art, alongside its celebrated Arabian species.

Each week a different group of countries will be highlighted.

This week focuses on the Arabian Gulf, with traditional Harbiya dance performances, Al Haban music, Saluki shows and more.

Egypt and Sudan come under the spotlight from December 8, with performances focusing on Alexandria and the Nubian region.

From December 15, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia are the focus before the zoo pays tribute to Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Jordan in the final week of Arabian Month.

Visitors can expect traditional cuisine, folklore and arts and crafts each week, while the strong relationship between Arabian culture and wildlife will be showcased.

Al Ain Zoo is home to one of the largest collections of Arabian wildlife in the world, and the themed month pays homage to the countries these species hail from.

Arabian Month is part of the zoo’s efforts to educate the public about wildlife in a fun, entertaining and engaging manner.

The zoo is open daily from 9am to 8pm.
