An art installation depicting Dubai’s dramatic skyline made entirely of food has gone on display in London.

The artwork features a Burj Khalifa made out of 90 sweetcorn cobs and the Burj Al Arab created with the imaginative use of pasta, tortilla wraps, cheese biscuits, diced barbecue chicken, dried herbs and shortbread biscuits.

It took a team of six model makers three pain-staking weeks to come up with the spectacular foodscape.

Commissioned by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and created by UK-based food artist Paul Baker, it is currently on show at World Travel Market in the UK.

It will then be shipped to the emirate next year in time to go on display at Dubai Food Festival, which runs from February 6 to 28.
