The touchscreen is also more responsive now. Beware of: There is no Wi-Fi, the LCD screen is prone to fingerprints and the camera is comparatively weak when it comes to signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range. There is no change in sensor either.

Benefits: The action camera supports 4K videos at a stunning 30fps and 1080p videos at 120fps. The mounting options are wide from both third-party manufacturers and GoPro, and the Wi-Fi connection is quite effective. There is also the slower Silver version for a lower price. Beware of: A smart device is required, as there is no screen for reviewing your captured stuff. There is also no digital image stabilisation option and battery life could be better.
Nikon D5300, Dh1,799
Benefits: A quality entry-level DSLR camera at an affordable price. The D5300 delivers good colour quality and has a built-in GPS that you will find useful if you're into geotagging your photos. The auto-focus area covers a large part of the frame. Beware of: Battery life could be an issue, especially if the GPS is always switched on. Wi-Fi quality leaves much to be desired and the menu navigation is a bit sluggish.
