DUBAI // Du will provide minutes and data to customers to compensate them for mobile service interruptions this week.
The telecommunications company said on Thursday it will give postpaid customers two gigabytes of data and 75 national minutes. Prepaid customers will receive two gigabytes of data and 25 national minutes.
Postpaid customers can use the offer for 30 days starting from their April bill cycle, du said, but prepaid customers can use it for one day.
Du customers had reported problems accessing internet and making calls after the mobile network went down on Sunday, with some saying they missed interviews or business calls because of the service disruption.
To activate the offer, customers can send an SMS with the word “FREE” to 5050, from today, Thursday, until Monday.
