17 new Asian TV channels are set to be introduced for Etisalat's elife subscribers after a deal with Star TV.

ABU DHABI // Viewers on Etisalat’s Asian Choice e-vision service will soon receive 17 new channels after signing a deal with a major broadcaster.
The link-up between Etisalat and Star TV will mean additional programmes launched in six languages – Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Channels on offer will include Star Plus, Life OK, Star Gold, Star Jalsha and Star Vijay. Programming will feature Bollywood entertainment and regional news.
The package will also have six new channels for the Star network including Movies OK, Jalsha Movies, STAR Pravah, STAR Utsav, Suvarna and Suvarna Plus.
The Asian Choice Basic Package can be subscribed to for Dh30 a month.
“This is a big step forward for the UAE TV industry and should excite all eLife TV subscribers as we continue to offer more channels, greater choice and flexibility,” said Humaid Rashid Sahoo, chief executive of e-vision.
“We have endeavoured to bring the market’s favourite Star channels that will provide greater value to our offerings with legitimate access to such content in the UAE,” Mr Sahoo said.

“With this new partnership, we are delighted that our customers can now watch an even wider range of high quality content.”
The deal was also welcomed by Star.
