Cranleigh School
Cranleigh is a co-educational private day and boarding school at Cranleigh in Surrey, England. Founded in 1865 as a boys’ school, it started admitting girls in the early 1970s. It was described as a “hugely popular school with loads on offer, improving academia and mega street cred. Ideal for the sporty, energetic, sociable, independent and lovely child” by the Good Schools Guide.
Repton School
Repton is a private day and boarding school in Repton, Derbyshire in the English Midlands. Founded at the bequest Sir John Port of Etwall, who died in 1557 leaving money to start a school on the condition that the students of the school prayed for the souls of his parents and relatives every day, land for the school was bought two years after his death in 1559. It remained only for boys until 1970, when it began accepting girls in the past two years. It became fully co-educational about 20 years later. It has campuses in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the latter of which it opened last month.
Brighton College
Founded in 1845, Brighton College in Brighton, England, was started by William Aldwin Soames, who is said to have collected a group of local citizens in Sussex to help him in the endeavour. The private day and boarding school was named England’s Independent School of the Year 2011-12 by The Sunday Times. It opened Brighton College Abu Dhabi in 2011.
