National Bonds Corporation, the Dubai-based Sharia-compliant savings scheme, has announced the second stage of its Everyone is a Winner campaign that it hopes will boost a long-term savings culture in the Emirates.
To encourage savers, National Bonds is giving customers the chance to win a year-end grand prize of Dh2 million, as well as one of 10 Toyota Camry cars.
"We would like to applaud our winners for their healthy savings habits," says Mohammed Qasim Al Ali, the chief executive of National Bonds.
"We hope that through such initiatives, we will ultimately create healthy savings habits among customers and incentivise them to keep their money in National Bonds as part of a long-term savings plan."
The first phase of the campaign rewarded National Bonds customers who made new savings of Dh3,000 with cash prizes, Takaful (insurance) products, smartphones, iPads and gold coins.
The second stage, which ends on December 31, allows customers who purchase Dh3,000 worth of bonds to enter the Dh2m draw.

Ikea and Emirates NBD (ENBD) have teamed up to offer the lender's credit-card customers interest-free finance services if they spend Dh500 or more at the Swedish furniture giant's stores in Dubai Festival City and Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
The deal includes three, six and 12-month interest-free tenures for ENBD cardholders buying furniture and furnishings for kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms.
"Customers of Ikea can pay for their purchases with an Emirates NBD credit card and get the convenience and financial flexibility of paying back in zero per cent easy instalments up to 12 months," says R Sivaram, the senior vice president and head of cards business.
"As part of this partnership, we will have a dedicated kiosk in the Ikea store where customers can apply for an ENBD credit card."
