Mashreq bank, Dubai's third-largest lender by assets, has launched a programme that offers holders of its credit or debit cards discounts of up to 25 per cent if they dine at 400 participating restaurants in the Emirates.

The Mashreq Flavours programme will also give 40 of the bank's customers the chance to dine free every month. To be eligible for the draw, customers who have paid for their meal with a Mashreq credit or debit card will go into a draw for their chance to win. If they are one of the 40 winners, their winning transaction is then credited back to their card.

"Through our Mashreq Flavours partner network, we have ensured that the full range of cuisines and restaurants across various price points are covered so that all our customers enjoy this programme with their family and loved ones throughout the year," says Nimish Dwivedi, the head of payments at Mashreq.

"With our commitment to 40 lucky customers every month, Mashreq Card members also have a unique opportunity to dine free through the programme."

The bank says the programme is designed to suit a diverse range of dining options for its customers, including Arabic, Asian, European and international cuisines. It also caters to a range of budgets, from dining in five-star hotels and upmarket restaurants to popular chains and cafes.

The new programme follows Mashreq's recent announcement of a 0 per cent Easy Payment Plan, which offers interest-free instalments to its credit card holders, who can buy from a choice of 90 brands at 800 outlets across the UAE.
