Etihad chief executive James Hogan has been recognised for his leadership of the Abu Dhabi carrier.
Mr Hogan was selected as winner of the 'Executive Leadership' category at the Airline Strategy Awards, held in London.
The carrier reported a 200 per cent increase in profits to US$42m last year, on revenues of $4.8bn.
Passenger numbers rose by 23 per cent to 10m. The airline also expanded its code sharing network, which Etihad said boosted revenues by $600 in 2012.
