Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid offers condolences to Al Habtoor family
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid led condolences on the death of Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Habtoor, brother of Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor - founding chairman of Al Habtoor Group in the UAE.
The UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai on Friday visited the mourning majlis in Jumeirah accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his heartfelt condolences and solace to the Habtoor family and offered prayers to Allah, WAM reported.
Earlier on Thursday, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah also offered their condolences to the family.
The Al Habtoor Group is one of the largest privately-owned business conglomerates in the region.
It started out as a small engineering firm in 1970 and today is one of the region’s most respected conglomerates with interests in the hospitality, automotive, real estate, education and publishing sectors.
Khalaf Al Habtoor has also received condolences from prominent UAE ministers, officials and business leaders on Friday including; UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Anwar Gargash, Dr Mattar Al Tayer, director general of Dubai's Road and Transport Authority and Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, director general of Dubai Land Department.
