Standard Chartered Titanium credit card
Benefits: With an offer of Dh750 instant cashback when you apply online, key features of this card include 10 per cent cashback on all supermarket and utility purchases as well as school fee payments. The card also entitles you to 50 per cent off at Vox cinemas.
Watch out for: The Dh750 cashback sign-up offer applies only to minimum purchases of Dh10,000 within 60 days of the card activation. There are also caps on the amount of cashback.
Citibank’s PremierMiles Elite credit card
Benefits: Sign up for this card and you can cash in your miles for flights. Dh500 spent online with one of the UAE's premium airlines can be offset with 7,000 Citi miles. To earn 7,000 Citi Miles, you must spend US$2,333 internationally. Dh500 on other travel-related purchases can be offset with 15,000 Citi Miles. Airport lounge access and golf and hotel privileges are also on offer.
Watch out for: There is an annual fee of Dh1,500 on this card.
American Express 1% Money Back Gold credit card
Benefits: For every Dh100 you spend on your card, American Express will give you Dh1 back. You can also earn cashback on your family members' spending. If you use the card to pay for travel tickets, you will also automatically receive up to Dh350,000 worth of travel accident insurance.
Watch out for: You will not receive any cashback if you do not make the minimum monthly repayment on time.
