The first homes on Saadiyat are set to open in the next few weeks. So far, 255 villas out of 344 of the Saadiyat Beach Villas have been sold, while two of the 32 villas for sale as part of the St Regis resort have been sold.

St Regis villa residents will be able to use and purchase the various services offered by the hotel, including booking chefs for private dinner functions.

The villas were put on the market this year for between Dh22 million (US$5.9m) and Dh25m. There are also 750 apartments scheduled to be completed in the next few months.

TDIC says it wants to fast-track community developments around the apartments, including a mosque and grocery, before it builds any more apartments.
