We're used to seeing Jeremy Clarkson on the ground behind a steering wheel, giving us his take on the latest set of fancy wheels.

But the TV star has now thrown his opinion behind a different mode of transport, which in this instance travels up to 700mph - an Emirates aircraft.

Following the airline's launch of its new first class private suites at the Dubai Airshow yesterday, it has released the advertising campaign featuring the motoring mogul.

You can watch it here:

The new first class suites were inspired by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and feature "industry first" sliding doors allowing full privacy.

Emirates said that customers can video call the crew for service requests and food and beverages can be delivered via a special service window.

For those positioned in the middle aisle, a window view is still possible thanks to "virtual windows" which are live streamed from cameras stationed externally.

The new suites enter service on the Boeing 777-300ER from December.
