Luxury's fashion team ventured out into the wilds of Hatta to produce the magazine's March fashion shoot. Male and female models Jaffer and Llulia put their acting hats on, taking on the roles of star-crossed lovers. The atmosphere, defined by heavy winds, murky waters and dust storms, worked as a fitting backdrop to the theme of unrequited love. Jaffer was dressed in spring/summer 2017 pieces from Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Versace and more, while Llulia donned Dolce and Gabbana, Lanvin and a beautiful embroidered dress by Christian Louboutin.
A regional, Saudi Arabia-based label called Femi9 also made it into the shoot. The brand’s ruffled, black and white, off-shoulder midi-dress, has, since the shoot, made it into the closets of fashion director Sarah Maisey and stylist Hafsa Lodi, who loved the dress so much that they trekked out to Dalma Mall in Abu Dhabi to purchase it. Another local brand, Statement by Nisha, supplied beautiful silver jewellery for the shoot.
