Lindsay Lohan escapes theft prosecution

Prosecutors declined on Tuesday to press charges against Lindsay Lohan for an alleged theft from a Los Angeles home. Lohan and two other people were accused of theft of cash and property on August 18 at a home where she had been a houseguest. Prosecutors cited lack of evidence for the case - a relief for the 26-year-old star, who is starting to put her life back on track after years of substance abuse problems and brushes with the law. "All of this negative press ... whenever I'm doing great, people fabricate lies. It's such a shame. I'm just sayin'," Lohan posted on Twitter.

The 60th edition of the event, the oldest and most prestigious of its kind in the Spanish-speaking world, will be held from September 21 to 29.

Christina Aguilera: new album is 'rebirth'

Christina Aguilera is comparing her forthcoming album to a "rebirth". With a decade in the industry behind her, the 31-year-old singer says the untitled album will be a culmination of "everything I've experienced up until this point", including divorce. "It will be super expressive, super vulnerable." Aguilera and Jordan Bratman were married for five years before they split in 2010. They have a 4-year-old son. Aguilera, a coach on the singing contest The Voice, will perform the first single, Your Body, on the show on September 17.
