A trio of nostalgic, ‘90s guitar acts have been lined up to play a Brit-tastic one-day mini-festival at Dubai Tennis Stadium.

The Lightning Seeds, The Farm and Toploader will all take to the stage on Friday May 12, at what is likely to be the last big outdoor of the season.

The booking repeats a tried-and-tested formula. The ‘Seeds and Toploader previously shared a bill next door at The Irish Village, the promoters behind this gig. On that sweaty, summer night, back in September 2013, Toploader squarely upstaged The Lightning Seeds’s frontman Ian Broudie, who instead of performing the billed solo acoustic set, was backed by a skeleton band reportedly made up of the singer’s sons.

Added to the mix this time is The Farm, who are best known for 1990 single All Together Now. You might recall The Lightning Seeds from the highly hummable The Life of Riley, or of course laddish footy anthem Three Lions. Toploader are remembered almost entirely for office party anthem Dancing in the Moonlight, a runaway hit which had split the royalties with King Harvest, who originally wrote and released the tune in 1972.
