To celebrate the final season of the longest-running multi-camera in history, The Big Bang Theory, Starzplay Arabia has added all eleven previous seasons to its box set menu, and will also be exclusively airing the final season over the coming weeks.
The first episode of season 12 went out last night, and remains available on Starzplay for streaming. New episodes will be added every Tuesday over the coming weeks. A date for the 24th, and final, episode of the show hasn’t yet been confirmed, though fans should note that previous seasons have aired in two sets of 12, with a mid-season break, and the series concluding the following May.
Renowned for flying the flag for geek culture, the CBS show focuses on the lives of Californian Institute of Technology scientists Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter, Rajeesh ‘Raj’ Koothrappali and Howard Wolowitz, as well as the women in their lives Penny, Bernadette and Amy.
America's most popular sitcom is also renowned for its many guest appearances from some of the most beloved icons in physics, computing and fantasy – including Star Wars, Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. From Bob Newhart and the late Stephen Hawking (who became recurring characters on the comedy show) to Charlie Sheen, Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer and Buzz Aldrin, the final season promises to host an even greater pool of stars.
The show, the creation of Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, has earned an outstanding 52 Emmy nominations with 10 wins during its 12-year run, picking up 10 wins. The 2017/18 Season 11 was the most popular show on US TV.
