Friends is coming to Dubai. Well sort of. The popular American sitcom will be celebrating its 25th anniversary, and the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain will be a part of the celebration.

Fans of the show will get a chance to visit the famous Central Perk Cafe set when it goes on display at the Waterfall Atrium at The Dubai Mall from Sunday, September 15. It will then be next displayed on a float at The Dubai Fountain with a backdrop of the Burj Khalifa from Sunday, September 22.

The set will include the signature orange couch, rug, coffee table and other accessories as seen on the show. Best of all, fans will get a chance to take photos while visiting the prop set. If they're lucky, perhaps they can time the fountain show to recreate the show's famous intro:

But that's not all. Those in town will also be able to catch a special Friends LED show on the Burj Khalifa. On September 22, there will be two light shows at 8.30pm and 9.30pm. The show will be synced with The Dubai Fountain which be playing the theme song I'll Be There For You by The Rembrandts.

With this event, the Burj Khalifa joins other landmarks such as the Empire State Building, The London Eye and Madrid Royal Palace in welcoming the Central Perk Cafe in its world tour.

The show first aired on September 22, 1994, and was on for 10 seasons, ending on May 6, 2004. It followed six friends Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey and Ross and their adventures in New York City.
