Filipino girl group 4th Impact have been eliminated from The X Factor UK, finishing fifth overall in the reality-TV singing competition.

Although the four sisters Almira, Irene, Myrene and Celina once again received glowing praise from the judging panel for their performances, the audience was less impressed and they finished last in the weekend’s public vote.

Almira, the eldest of the sisters, said on Sunday’s live show: “We just want to thank the British public for welcoming us in your hearts.”

After they were eliminated, youngest sister Celina collapsed on stage and was carried off by paramedics. Photographs have emerged online of Celina in a wheelchair and being taken away in an ambulance.

The band later posted on their Twitter page: “Thanks to all who voted for us. Celina is OK now. Thanks for your prayers and love. Let’s keep believing.”

4th Impact performed two songs, one picked by the public and the other picked by their mentor, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Viewers chose The Jackson 5's I'll Be There, while Fernandez-Versini gave them a mash-up of Iggy Azalea's Fancy and Gwen Stefani's Rich Girl.

“Vocally, that was the best that you sounded so far,” Cowell said of the performances.

Fellow judge Nick Grimshaw said: “I can’t wait to see the tour now — to go and see you play and be super entertaining. Well done, girls.”

4th Impact will tour the UK in February and March next year, along with the rest of the top eight acts.
