Works will span the breadth of Zaki's career, with other titles including Ahlam Hend W Kamlya (1988), Al Modmen (1983), Abou Dahab (1996) and Hassan Ellol (1997). The series will draw to a close on Tuesday, June 30 with a showing of Sawak el Hanem (1994).

Zaki, who made his film debut in 1974, died in 2005 aged 55.

He graduated from the Cairo Higher Institute for Drama Studies in 1974, and was a frequent collaborator with Egyptian director Youssef Chahine.

Zaki's son with Hala Fouad, Haitham, who was also an actor, died suddenly in 2019 at the age of 35. He had suffered a sudden circulatory collapse.
