Wafik Habib is set to makes hearts flutter with a special Valentine's Day performance in Abu Dhabi.

The Syrian singer will perform his hits at The Millennium Hotel's Main Ballroom tomorrow night.

Although he is making his Abu Dhabi debut, Habib says he has already fallen in love with the capital. "I feel extremely welcomed by the people of Abu Dhabi, they are so pure and genuine," he says. "I will definitely be coming back here, I truly appreciate how the people have made me feel."

Habib says there will be more to the show than love songs and that his set will be both lively and upbeat. "Arab people are warm-blooded and love to move," he says. "There will definitely be some Dabke music on the night."

It is Abu Dhabi's multicultural crowd - as well as the city's love birds - that Habib is most looking forward to entertaining. "Although the ballroom will be filled with people of different nationalities, whether from the Emirates, Syria, Lebanon or Iraq, on this night they are all joined together as one," he says. "It makes me feel happy seeing the way people remember where they came from after hearing certain songs … a person truly feels attached by anything that links him or her to their home."

As well as romantic vibes, Habib is set to release a new single soon before embarking on a world tour that will take in America, Canada and Beirut. Habib says the overseas jaunts often act as emotional reminders to Arab expatriates of their homeland. "One feels truly attached by anything that links him or her to where they originally came from," he says.
