Stacy Gregg almost injured music legend Elvis Costello en-route to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair last week.
The Kiwi author was checking in her luggage at Auckland Airport and almost whacked the English singer, who was behind her, in the process.
Wrapping up his New Zealand tour, Costello was also on his way to the UAE to headline the Blended Festival in Dubai last Friday.
“I was shocked and stunned,” she recalled. “I just looked at him and didn’t say a word.”
No doubt Costello forgot the incident by the time his long and luxurious first class flight arrived in the UAE.
