Bruno Mars tops Billboard 200

Bruno Mars grabbed the top spot on this week’s Billboard 200 album chart for the first time, after discounted online prices boosted sales of Unorthodox Jukebox four months after its release. Billboard said 64,000 units of the album were digital downloads following a one-day sale of US$1.99 (Dh7) on Amazon.com. Atoms for Peace, fronted by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, claimed the second spot with their debut album Amok. Mumford & Sons’ Grammy-winning album Babel fell from the top spot last week into third. On the digital songs chart, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ cheeky rap Thrift Shop held at No 1 for the eighth consecutive week. Moore asks alimony from Kutcher

Demi Moore is seeking alimony from Ashton Kutcher, according to divorce documents on Thursday. Kutcher filed for divorce from the actress in December 2012. Requesting financial support from Kutcher is an unusual move for Moore, who was one of the top female earners in Hollywood during the 1990s. Her court filing did not specify an amount sought. Kutcher, 35, and Moore, 50, both cited irreconcilable differences in their divorce papers. In Kutcher’s filing, the actor said he would not deny support to Moore. Kutcher was 2012’s highest-paid television actor, according to Forbes magazine. – Reuters
