The Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is reportedly in Miami recording a follow-up to her first hit single In My City. For the song, titled Exotic, the 30-year-old star collaborates with the American rapper Pitbull, who, incidentally, was in Kolkata yesterday to perform for the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League cricket tournament, along with the actors Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Sources say Chopra will also shoot the music video for Exotic in Miami as soon as recording finishes. The actress is said to be shuttling between India and the US as she finishes shooting for three new movies, including Ali Abbas Zafar's new film Gunday, co-starring Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. - IANS

Kumar to sue film that spoofed him

The veteran actor Manoj Kumar has decided to take legal action against the producers of Om Shanti Om, a 2007 film that included a spoof character of him. The film, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, poked fun at the entire Bollywood industry but scenes featuring a character pretending to be Kumar offended the actor. Kumar applied for a court injunction in 2008 and the filmmakers were asked to remove all scenes that were found distasteful by the actor from prints and broadcast material. But in March, the full film was re-released in Japan and Kumar has declared his intent "to take serious action". - IANS

Sampooran Singh Kalra, better known as Gulzar, and who won an Oscar for Best Song with Jai Ho in Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire - is one of the writers to be contributing to the music. - IANS
