The Paris Opera National Ballet is bringing its world-class First Soloists to the UAE to perform in Abu Dhabi and Dubai next month.

Dubai Dance Academy will host the Opera de Paris during its fourth visit to the UAE for the Ballet Grand Gala 2017 in the first week of January. The dancers will perform at the Emirates Palace Auditorium on January 5 and then at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah on January 6 and 7.

Star Dancer Dorothée Gilbert and First Soloists Hugo Marchand and Hannah O’Neill will take the stage with 10 other dancers from the Paris Opera National Ballet. They will also be joined by Paul Marque, the 2016 Gold Medal winner of the Varna International Ballet Competition.

The ballet company will be performing classics from their repertoire, including Roméo et Juliette by Rudolf Noureev, La Sylphide et Le Corsaire, Flames of Paris as well as neoclassical creations such as Donizetti by Manuel Legris and Thais, choreographed by Opera de Paris ballet master Laurent Novis.

Paris Opera National Ballet dancers will also perform The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, the technically precise ballet masterpiece by American choreographer William Forsythe.
