Eid doesn't only mean visiting family and friends. The subscriber television network OSN has created a special Eid package featuring hit movies, marathon screenings of popular series and also an opera to cater for those who want to enjoy the holidays from the comfort of their home.

OSN Ya Hala! HD

The network's flagship Arabic channel continues to live up to its name. Its Eid showcase includes the dark comedy Yana ya Howa, starring Nidal El Shafie and Raja Al Jadawi. The film tells the story of a journalist struggling with schizophrenia while trying to keep his relationships intact. Meanwhile, in Fasel wa Naoud, Karim Abdel Aziz follows in the footsteps of his father, the director Mohammad Abdul Aziz, by directing and starring in a drama about a man looking for his kidnapped son.

If it's colour and pomp you're after, don't miss the exclusive screening of the opulent Asala Operetta, featuring the Syrian songstress Asala backed by a 69-piece orchestra. The performance was pre-recorded in The Netherlands.

OSN First HD

Who said fairy tales are boring? The channel will hold a marathon screening of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Created by the writers of Lost, the fantasy series focuses on an evil queen's plans to disrupt the lives of classic fairy-tale characters such as Snow White and Red Riding Hood to ensure a "happy ending" for herself. The debut season was hailed for its clever, fantasy-driven scripts.

OSN Movies HD and OSN Cinema

Begin Eid on a funny note with the comedy Horrible Bosses. Starring an ensemble cast that includes Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx and Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), the film follows three disgruntled employees intent on exacting revenge on their managers.

Looking for something to raise your pulse? Watch 30 Minutes or Less, an action comedy starring Jesse Eisenberg as a pizza delivery man. Romantics can indulge in the Keira Knightley drama Last Night, or tune in to James Cameron's epic Avatar for sci-fi action.

OSN Comedy

Laughter will fill the household with the marathon six-hour screening of several award-winning comedy serials, including 30 Rock, Modern Family and Last Man Standing.

OSN Play

OSN also allows you to watch your favourite shows on a computer or iPad, which means you can still go out and enjoy the Eid celebrations without missing out on all the action and laughs. This Eid, everybody wins.
