Mughal Night, an evening dedicated to Urdu plays, will see satire Sons of Babur and comedy Ghalib in New Delhi being staged in Dubai on October 12.

Both plays will be performed by the Pierrot Troupe - a group who focuses on plays with history and literature as their mainstay.

Sons of Babur, written by former External Affairs Minister of India Salman Khurshid, is set in the era of the Mughals. The play has been adapted by Ather Farouqui and is directed by Dr M Sayeed Alam.

Ghalib in New Delhi, written and directed by Dr Alam, tells the story of the Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib, who comes back to modern day Delhi 200 years after his death to discover things are not how he left them.

The shows will take place at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium in Dubai, and tickets will be soon available on Platinum List.
