"Never have we pushed so far the envelope than with this," said former Cirque du Soleil artistic director Franco Dragone when he first introduced his show, La Perle, the Middle East's first permanent 'Las Vegas-style' show, to Dubai back in August 2017. The aerial and aqua performance takes place at its custom-made, 10-storey high, state-of-the-art theatre in Al Habtoor City. "We want to seduce as many people as we can," he added.

Well, he'll certainly get his wish this Eid: if 75 per cent off on ticket prices doesn't seduce as many people as possible, then nothing will.

La Perle, which took a break for Ramadan, will reopen on Monday June 3, just in time for the Eid Al Fitr holiday, and prices have been seriously slashed.

VIP tickets, which are usually Dh1,680, are down to Dh599. Platinum has gone from Dh1,260 to Dh299. Gold is down from Dh840 to Dh249 and Silver tickets are Dh199 (as opposed to Dh630). You can buy yours on platinumlist.net, but they're "selling fast".

If you're looking for something a bit more special, you can book a summer dinner package instead. Get a Gold seat with dinner at Zoco Mexican Restaurant and Bar for Dh384. Alternatively, head to City Grill, a South African eatery, for the same price.

The shows take place at 7pm to 8.30pm and 9.30pm to 11pm on Monday June 3 to Saturday June 8.

The show is a revered aquatic performance, where waterfalls cascade, fires light up and motorcyclists defy gravity as they spin inside a metal sphere suspended in the air. Nimble acrobats dive from jaw-dropping heights into a submerged pool, as a cast of world-class artists entertain guests night after night.
