Olly Murs is set to perform in Abu Dhabi for the first time. The English singer-songwriter will bring his 2017 Spring Tour to du Forum on Yas Island on April 28.

Murs finished runner-up in 2009 edition of the UK edition of The X Factor. The following year, he released his first single Please Don’t Let Me Go, which debuted at number one in the UK Singles Charts. It was followed by his self-titled debut album, Olly Murs, which sold more than 600,000 copies.

He has since released several multi-platinum-selling albums and four chart-topping singles. His total record sales now top more than 10 million.

The singer has had a busy year last year, including the release of his fourth album 24 Hrs. It followed Never Been Better, which reached No 1 in UK album charts, making him one of the most successful graduates of The X Factor.

The star performed at the Dubai Jazz Festival in 2014. Before arriving in Abu Dhabi, the 32-year-old will perform 23 shows in the United Kingdom.

The set list is likely to include latest singles Years and Years, You Don’t know Love and Grow Up, and radio favourites Troublemaker, Dear Darlin’ and Dance with Me Tonight.

Flash Entertainment and du Live! will launch a presale for du customers today at 12pm, with Flash following this with their own presale offer tomorrow at 12pm. Registration for the Flash presale is now open.

Tickets will go on general sale on Wednesday at 12pm at www.ticketmaster.ae and Virgin Megastores.
