A different shade of the UAE super-club White Dubai will open in the Saudi coastal city of Jeddah this weekend.

White Saudi Arabia will launch on Thursday with its lounge concept at the picturesque Jeddah Waterfront, a popular entertainment hub that will see a performance by Nancy Ajram.

Headlining the first night is popular RnB singer and White Dubai regular Ne-Yo. The So Sick and One in a Million singer will serenade a mix crowd of Saudis within the non-alcohol serving venue, which holds up to 2,000 people.

White Saudi Arabia will then begin operating from Wednesday to Saturday from 10pm to 3am.

A spokesperson for Addmind Group, the company behind White Dubai and White Saudi Arabia, told The National that while the Jeddah outlet will retain its own flavour, it would also host some of the artists that will perform in White Dubai.

With the Meydan Racecourse venue hosting the likes of French Montana, Sean Paul and Busta Rhymes over the years, Saudi hip-hop fans will have a great chance of seeing the genre’s leading acts light up the kingdom.

The moves comes as Saudi Arabia increasingly opens itself up to music concerts.

The kingdom already hosted a slew music stars over the last 12 months with Mariah Carey, Enrique Iglesias, The Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Tiesto, Sean Paul and Akon all performing in various Saudi cities.
