Ariana Grande has been busy getting her fans well and truly hyped about her upcoming video over the past week, but now she has dropped an official trailer – and it does not disappoint.

The pop-star's latest single Thank U, Next has been at the top of the charts for the past three weeks, but Grande is yet to release the accompanying music video.

However, for the past few days she has been dropping big hints on her social media channels that the video would pay homage to some of the cult blockbusters from the noughties, including Legally Blonde, Bring It On and 13 Going on 30.

But an official trailer has now been released, and it has delighted fans of Mean Girls. A 47-second clip posted to Grande's Twitter page this morning recreates iconic scenes from the movie alongside some heavyweight cameos from the likes of pop star Troye Sivan and actor Jonathan Bennett, who originally played Aaron Samuels in the Mean Girls film.

The clip was followed with an image of Mean Girls' infamous 'Burn Book', with the name of the single plastered across the front. Naturally, fans are very excited.

The video is also set to feature a cameo from Jennifer Coolidge, who will reprise her role of Paulette from the Legally Blonde franchise.

Fans won’t have much longer to wait for the full video, which is expected to be released later this week.
