A face-mask-clad Tyga has shared photos from a hospital in Abu Dhabi, thanking doctors for treating him with "the best care".

The rapper was in the UAE capital for his appearance at the Base F1 pop-up club on Saturday night. That same day, he had already performed in Saudi Arabia, as part of the country's Ad Diriyah season.

It's unclear why Tyga was hospitalised in Abu Dhabi, but if a similar hospital trip in India last week is anything to go by, it could well be exhaustion.

The rapper told crowds assembled at his concert in Mumbai that he was feeling "under the weather", according to the Times of India, but wouldn't let that ruin his gig. He later posted a video of himself in hospital wearing a mask.

And this weekend, it was a busy Saturday for the US musician, after his appearance at Ad Diriyah, the heritage site north-west of Riyadh. It was his second time in Saudi Arabia this year, after he first appeared at the Jeddah World Festival in July.

It then appears he immediately jetted into the UAE for his F1 performance at Base, located above Cipriani. Doors opened for this gig at 11pm, meaning Tyga was likely up until the early hours of Sunday morning performing.

It seems like foreshadowing that one of his biggest songs is called Dubai Drip. Released last year, the song uses the emirate as a metaphor for living your best life.

Tyga is currently in the middle of a hectic world tour. His regional appearances began in Dubai on November 27, before he headed off to Mumbai, Riyadh, and then Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

The rapper shot to fame after signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment label in 2008, and later rose to tabloid fame thanks to his relationship with Kylie Jenner in 2017. He is behind hits such as Taste, Ayo and Rack City.

Whatever he's in hospital for, here's hoping he makes a speedy recovery.

He's set to take the stage in Hamburg tonight.
