A celebrated veteran DJ, a Palestinian dance music pioneer and a hip-hop star are on offer across clubs in the UAE this weekend
John Digweed
Digweed is as much a dance-music stalwart as he is an exhilarating DJ. The British spinner has been mining his craft for more than three decades, and from his decks has seen the EDM scene grow from underground basement parties into a global phenomenon. In all that time, he kept active with tasteful sets and releases, blending progressive and tech house with adventurous trance.
Thursday at Soho Garden, Meydan, Dubai. For reservations call 052 388 8849 or email reservations@sohogardendxb.com
Sama
A trailblazer in her native Palestine, Sama is recognised as the first DJ and electronic-music producer to emerge from her homeland. She began her career mixing records in 2006 in Ramallah, before adding production to her CV four years later. Sama (full name Sama Abdulhadi) has forged a career as a solid decksmith with her punchy techno.

Kid Ink
The UAE club favourite returns to the capital for what is bound to be another energetic performance. Responsible for hits Time of Your Life and Show Me, the 32-year-old has a propensity to drop consistent club bangers, aided by his initial training as a producer. The man knows what gets a crowd moving and has grown into a formidable performer.
