Pop star Tamer Hosny is set to perform at Abu Dhabi's Marina Mall on Friday, December 6. The Egyptian singer will be in the UAE to perform a song he has written in honour of the UAE's Year of Tolerance. During his appearance he'll be joined on stage by singers from The Voice Kids: Ahla Sawt.

That isn't all he will be doing, Hosny is also setting out to break a record at the mall with his fans.

Until Thursday, December 5 fans will be posting messages to the star, and they hope to collect the most contributions to a bulletin board, thus breaking a Guinness World Record.

Marina Mall shared a handful of the messages on Instagram, saying they had received "a lot of positive and many influential messages" for Hosny.

"I would like to thank the Marina Mall Abu Dhabi management for their generous invitation for my fans and their vision in my artistic and humanitarian journey," Hosny wrote in an Instagram caption.

"My entry to Guinness World Record will be a historical victory for every Egyptian and Arab ... my greatest joy is making history with my art."

This isn't the only concert Hosny will be doing in the UAE this month.

On Tuesday, December 31 he will be performing with Nancy Ajram at the Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi New Year's Eve celebrations.

Tickets star at Dh300 and are available here.
