MDLBEAST, Saudi Arabia's lifestyle and entertainment brand, is gearing up to release its first album under its newly established recording label.

The album, entitled Soundstorm Volume 1, will bring together an international group of acclaimed electronic musicians including US singer Butch, Dutch DJ Afrojack and Swedish DJ Salvatore Ganacci, as well as regional artists such as Saudi Arabian female DJ Cosmicat.

Though the album is slated for an April launch, we'll be getting a sneak peek at the end of February with the release of its first single, Ringtone by Dutch-Moroccan DJ R3hab. The song will be released with a music video on Friday.

"MDLBEAST is all about amplifying the unseen, building a platform for Arab artists to showcase their talent to the world and bring international artists closer to Arab audiences," Talal Albahiti, chief operating officer of Talal Albahiti, said.

"Launching our label MDLBEAST Records is another big milestone on our journey to create cultural exchange through music. We are especially proud that our good friend and collaborator R3hab will be the first artist to officially launch his single Ringtone on MDLBEAST Records."

MDLBEAST was quick to establish itself as one of the region's prime entertainment brands after it held its inaugural annual festival in December 2019.

The dance festival was dubbed the largest in the region and drew crowds of more than 400,000 to Saudi Arabia over the course of three days.

The event was held online in June 2020. The line-up of the 12-hour dance festival featured the likes of Afrojack, Maceo Plex, Claptone and Laidback Luke. Regional talents included Saudi spinners Baloo, Cosmicat and Lebanon's Jade x Tala.
