Bonnie Franklin, described as a "life force" and star of the sitcom One Day at a Time, has died at age 69. The television actress, who had pancreatic cancerdiagnosed last year, died at her home in Los Angeles on Friday. Franklin was most noted for her role as the divorced mother, Ann Romano, on the show developed by Norman Lear and co-created by Whitney Blake. Kevin Hart to host Saturday Night Live

Joking that his discomfort at making eye contact made rehearsals difficult, Kevin Hart seemed to be taking his first time hosting NBC's Saturday Night Live in stride. The stand-up comedian says he was not nervous because he loved what he did and that the opportunity to do it on the SNL stage was "ridiculous". In the promo, Hart, 32, made fun of his height - he is 5 feet 2 inches and is said to perform standing on a box. SNL screens in the UAE on OSN Comedy at 9pm tonight. AP
