Nick Jonas is the latest artist announced as part of Fiesta De Los Muertos. The 24-year-old pop star and former member of the Jonas Brothers will perform at the music festival, held at Dubai Autism Rocks Arena, on October 27.

He joins a varied bill that includes the edgy British pop group Gorillaz, Lebanese-Canadian RnB singer Massari and the Mexican cover band The Mariachis.

More names are to be announced soon.

“I’m looking forward to Fiesta and to bringing a great show to Dubai for my first performance in the Middle East,” Jonas said in statement.

The appearance follows his older brother, Joe Jonas, who performed at last year’s inaugural edition with his band DNCE.

Talking to The National earlier this year, Nick said it was his brother's great experience that encouraged him to look for opportunities to perform in the UAE. "I was kind of jealous and mad that Joe went," he said.

“But I am in an exciting moment where with my acting projects and the new music I am doing, there is a unique opportunity to have these two cross together and play shows and do promotions in areas where I never been.”

Indeed, Jonas should arrive to the UAE on the back of an upcoming fourth solo album, with new single Remember I Told You climbing the US pop charts.

“It is a very uplifting song,” he said.

“I wanted it to have this fun summer vibe, something that you can listen to loud and just have a good time with. The song was actually written last summer while I was on tour. I think that’s what’s cool about writing and performing in front of your audience simultaneously. You feel that connection more. You get more creative energy and that really feeds into what you are writing.”
