'Music unites us': Nancy Ajram to perform intimate Eid concert on YouTube
The singer will deliver reworked versions of some of her greatest hits
Nancy Ajram is the latest pop star to announce an Eid concert this Ramadan.
The Lebanese artist promises an intimate performance from an undisclosed Beirut location to be streamed on her YouTube channel on Tuesday, May 26 at 9pm UAE time.
The concert, dubbed Hope Beyond Borders, will be held without an audience and minimal band members and will feature new stripped down takes of big hits Betfakar Fi Eih and Badna Nwalee El Jaw.
More than the fun and escapism that comes with a usual Ajram concert, the artists hopes the show aims to bring her fans together in a show of solidarity in the midst of the pandemic.
“I’m very excited for this special performance. Hope Beyond Borders signifies much more than a concert. It’s also an effort to shine a light on the humanitarian efforts underway as families in Lebanon and around the world deal with economic difficulties and challenges underscored by Covid-19," says Ajram.
“While we all might feel alone today, music unites us to do good and binds us together in solidarity to overcome this difficult ordeal.”
