Lynn Hayek premieres new single on 'The Voice Kids'
It was a fitting stage, as the song’s lyrics deal with themes of growing up, being brave and letting go of past disappointments
Lynn Hayek returned to The Voice Kids stage on Saturday night to debut her upbeat pop track Am Bi’akbar (I Am Growing Up).
The young Lebanese singer won the inaugural season of MBC's talent quest in 2016, and her new single's lyrics were fitting for The Voice Kids stage as they deal with themes of growing up, being brave and letting go of past disappointments.
The opportunity was an also a chance to see how the 13-year-old has developed as an artist. She was a shy performer during The Voice Kids, but the Hayek on stage on Saturday night was polished and comfortable. This was in no doubt due to the dozens of gigs she has performed since winning the show, not to mention her regional tour, where she played in various festivals and shopping malls.
“My message to the contestants is to not be scared,” she said. “Everybody has a talent to share and don’t worry about the result as long as you try your best."
