From Sherry to Big Girls Don't Cry to December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night), there is no shortage of musical hits from The Four Seasons.

Starring in a lead role as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys, British stage actor Jonathan Vickers is no stranger to their hit songs, so we asked him to share his five favourites by the group with us.

Jersey Boys is showing at Dubai Opera from October 11-14.

Sherry

It's probably the band's most recognisable song, and it's the number that really kick-started their time as a world-renowned act. The tune has got an incredibly punchy lead vocal line, which is a real joy to sing.

Fallen Angel

In terms of style, this song is entirely different to Sherry. It's a ballad with a whole load of heart. The lyrics are very beautiful and tell a very compelling story; as an actor it's great to have such rich, poetic lyrics to draw from.

I Can't Take My Eyes Off You

A one-of-a-kind number. It's without a doubt one of the most famous songs in the world, and an absolute privilege to perform. A beautiful melody, fantastic lyrics … there's nothing not to like. It's a spine-tingling part of the show I always look forward to.

Walk Like A Man

The most famous vocal line in the show! You can feel the audience shift in their seats as the intro to this one starts; they always look forward to hearing that soaring falsetto line. The chorus is incredibly energised and the song feels fresh, like it could've been written today.

My Eyes Adored You

Another wonderful ballad. This number is soaked in emotion and once again tells a heartfelt story. This song helps to demonstrate the reason why The Four Seasons are one of the all time great American bands — visceral, potent lyrics, set against beautiful melodies. What an honour to get to perform these incredible songs.

Tickets are still available for Jersey Boys at Dubai Opera. Tickets cost Dh250 from
