It’s only the beginning of the summer, but already, we have something to look forward to with the advent of fall and cooler temperatures: Jennifer Lopez  will be performing in Dubai come November.

This will be the star’s first public appearance in the Middle East

According to promoter DONE Events, the singer, actress, producer, entrepreneur and American Idol judge will perform on November 22 as part of her Dance Again World Tour, which will kick off in the South American country of Panama next month on June 14.

Details on the venues and ticket prices have yet to be revealed but fans can register now at www.jlodubai.com for pre-sale details and event information. Those that register will receive an exclusive link to purchase tickets online, also on June 14.

Since beginning her career as a small-time actor and dancer, Lopez grew to become a mega-selling female singer and film star.

She sold over 55 million albums since her 1999 debut On The 6 and starred in box office hits including comedies Monster-in-Law and The Wedding Planner.

JLo's latest world jaunt is in effect a victory lap after the smash hit success of her latest album Love? released last year. Her seventh, the album showcased a new, dancier direction and spawned three chart topping singles: On The Floor, I'm Into You and Papi. The album was produced by Moroccan-born Swedish hit-maker RedOne, who alongside Quincy Jones was behind last year international charity single Bokra featuring Egyptian pop star Tamer Hosny and the UAE's Fayez Al Saeed.

Currently, Lopez is making entertainment headlines. She has just been named the Most Influential Celebrity by Forbes magazine in their "most powerful" list, and there is speculation that she might not rejoin American Idol for a third season. The final performance for Season Two of the hit show will air tomorrow night. Lopez has neither confirmed nor denied whether or not she will continue as judge, but she has said in an interview with TV chat show host Ellen Degeneres last week, "I don't know if I can go for a third year."

Lopez's latest movie, What to Expect When You Are Expecting, will open in UAE cinemas on Thursday.
