The reunited Happy Mondays will play Dubai next month on their only Middle East stop. The original lineup, back together for the first time together in 19 years for a string of international concert dates, will perform at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium on April 26.

"It's as if we've never been apart - so good to all be in the same room again," said lead singer Shaun Ryder after the reformation was announced. "We can't wait now to get on tour and play the songs that made us famous."

Fans of the 1980s-era Manchester alternative rock band can expect to hear classic songs including Step On, Kinky Afro, Wrote for Luck, Hallelujah and 24 Hour Party People.

Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow through local outlets. They are Dh200 for general standing and seating and Dh350 for the VIP enclosure.
