French Montana returns to the UAE for Dubai club show
The rapper will stop over in the UAE this weekend on his way to his debut performance in Egypt
French Montana has added a Dubai club show to his latest regional tour. The rapper will perform at the outdoor Meydan club, Drai’s DXB, on Thursday night. Doors will open at 10pm with ticket prices starting from Dh200 for ladies and Dh350 for men.
Montana will then follow it up with his first-ever gig in Egypt on April 12, where he'll take to the stage at Dandy Mega Mall, at the 6th October district. Ticket prices start from EGP 500 (Dh105).
Born Karim Kharbouch, his family comes from Morocco and Montana emigrated to the US as a teenager, working his way up from creating mix-tapes to becoming one of the biggest names in the music industry, having collaborated with the likes of P Diddy and DJ Khaled. He regularly makes his way to the Middle East, having performed often in Morocco, where his family formerly lived. He's no stranger to the UAE, either.
Montana and Jennifer Lopez collaborate again
As well as hits like Unforgettable and Famous, Montana's Dubai show will be an apt opportunity for him to potentially perform some new material as well. The latest is his guest appearance in the new Jennifer Lopez track, Medicine.
It dropped yesterday, and the music video to the horn-filled track has J-Lo donning an all-white look by Dubai-based, Filipino designer Furne One, while she's dancing and singing along on a carousel and various other settings. Montana, also in an all-white suit, drops in, in second half of the song, with a typically boisterous verse where he sings: “On a yacht catchin' fish, we don't get catfished.”
Medicine is the third collaboration between the pair, the other two being 2014's Same Girl (Remix) and I Luh Ya Papi.
