Boyband BTS have recently made headlines by becoming the first K-pop group to the top the Billboard Hot 200 with their new album Face Yourself: Tear. It has been five years since they debuted on the music scene and they have released plenty of music since including six studio albums, four compilations albums, five extended plays and 22 singles. Here are five songs you should know:

No More Dream (2013)

The first single released by the group was a hip-hop heavy track from their debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool. The single helped the group enter the Billboard World Digital Songs chart for the first time and peaked at No 5 on the Gaon Weekly Album Charts (which charts music in South Korea).

I Need U (2015)

This is the lead single off their third EP The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1. Infusing more pop and electronic to their sound, the music video reached one million views in just 16 hours (the fastest for any BTS music video at the time).

-------------------------------

Spring Day (2017)

The alt hip-hop song was the first single from their repackaged album Wings. It topped the Gaon Digital Chart with more than a million downloads as well as the US World Digital Song Sales on Billboard.

-------------------------------

Mic Drop (2018)

The hip-hop jam was realised as part of their fifth EP but gained traction on US radio waves after it was remixed by DJ Steve Aoki with additional vocals from rapper Desiigner. It became the first song by a Korean group to reach No 1 on the US iTunes charts.

Fake Love (2018)

The newest single from the group is yet another rap-rock infused song with a catchy chorus. The music video hit 100 million views in record time for a K-pop group. It was also No 1 in Korea and hit the top of the iTunes chart across 52 different regions.
