Exo members Sehun and Chanyeol's passports leaked on social media by Vietnam airport staff
The staff member in question has now been fired, say reports
Members of K-pop band Exo have had their passport information leaked by a Vietnamese airport staff member, according to VnExpress.
The passport information of Sehun and Chanyeol was leaked by a member of staff at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, Vietnam on Saturday, January 11, say reports.
A staff member, who has been identified by social media users as Hoang Ngoc, took a photo of their passport pages and sent them to friends in a group chat. The screen grabs of messages and the images then made their way online.
Ngoc has since been fired, according to Vietnamese police. She has also posted an apology to Facebook, on an account that has since been made private.
"Sorry Exo fans," she wrote in a translated message, "I just took the picture to send to my friends ... I honestly didn't expect the information to get out but ask you to stop sharing the pictures".
EXO were in Vietnam for the 2020 K-Pop Super Concert in Hanoi on Friday, January 10.
The K-pop nine-piece have enjoyed enormous success in the UAE. They were among the original set of famous names to be honoured with a Dubai Star in October last year and were among the UAE's 10 most streamed K-pop artists on Spotify in 2019.
