Organisers have announced that the K-pop Super Concert at Dubai's Coca-Cola on Friday, March 20 will not be going ahead. The concert has been postponed "to ensure the public's health and safety" as the coronavirus outbreak continues to threaten the UAE's large-scale events.
South Korean stars Super Junior, NCT 127, RGP, LABOUM and Jun were scheduled to perform at the arena.
The Grace & Co, the promoter behind the K-Pop Super Concert, said in a statement: "In line with the international measures being taken to ensure the public’s health and safety, the upcoming K-Pop Super Concert show scheduled to take place at Coca-Coca Arena on Friday 20th March is being postponed."
The City Walk arena added that ticket holders would receive a full refund automatically from their point of purchase, asking them to "allow for 10 working days for the refund to reach your account before contacting your point of purchase."
The announcement comes nine days after it was announced that the K-pop Music Bank concert, also to be held at Coca-Cola Arena, had been postponed. The concert was scheduled for Saturday, March 21, with bands Twice, Seventeen, Monsta X, Jus2 and Exo's Baekhyun due to take the stage.
US rapper Russ has also postponed his March gig at the Coca-Cola Arena until Friday, November 27 this year.
"I have to postpone the Dubai show due to the coronavirus," Russ wrote on his official Twitter account. "I know, wild lol but outta my control ... but your tickets will all be valid for the new date which will be November 27 this year."
There are now no public performances scheduled at the arena until Louis Tomlinson on Saturday, April 18, and Iron Maiden on Wednesday, May 27.
