So it’s official: Deadmau5 and the duo AxwellΛIngrosso will headline Creamfields Abu Dhabi on December 8.

This morning's announcement by Flash Entertainment came after The National spotted a sponsored Instagram advertisement yesterday by the promoters stating the Canadian artist and Swedish duo were performing at the electronic dance music festival at the Du Arena.

Returning after a three absence, the latest edition of Creamfields Abu Dhabi will run for eight hours with acts performing on the main stage. The sprawling site will also accommodate chill out lounges, merchandise outlets and a variety of food and beverage stands.

The event is restricted to those 18 years of age and older and tickets will go on sale to the public at midday, October 4. Du customers have access to pre-sale tickets from midday today (Monday). Ticket prices start from Dh250. Other performing artists will be announced soon.

The news marks Deadmau5’s – pronounced ‘dead mouse’ – return to Abu Dhabi since playing the same festival six years ago.

AxwellΛIngrosso are regulars in the UAE club and festival circuit. Their last performance was December’s Dubai New Year’s Eve bash at the Meydan Racecourse and they returned to the emirate in April to launch the super club Base.

Both artists return to the UAE with new music on offer. Deadmau5 released his eight album W:/2016ALBUM/ last year while AxwellΛIngrosso released their latest EP More Than You Know in May.
